ఋష్యశృంగుని ఆహ్వానించిన నా నిర్ణయం
నేను దశరథుణ్ని. అయోధ్యకు రాజును.
సంతానం లేకపోవడం నా వ్యక్తిగత బాధ మాత్రమే కాదు; నా తరువాత అయోధ్యకు నాయకత్వం ఎవరు వహిస్తారనే ఆందోళన కూడా. నా బాధను గురువులు, మంత్రులతో పంచుకున్న తరువాత నాకు ఒక దారి కనిపించింది.
మహర్షి వశిష్ఠుడు మరియు నా సభలోని జ్ఞానులు, మహాతపస్వి ఋష్యశృంగుని సాన్నిధ్యం యజ్ఞానికి ఎంతో ముఖ్యమని సూచించారు. ఆ మాటను నేను సాధారణ సలహాగా తీసుకోలేదు. సమస్యకు సరైన పరిష్కారం కావాలంటే సరైన వ్యక్తి సహాయం అవసరమని గ్రహించాను.
ఋష్యశృంగుడు అంగదేశంతో అనుబంధం కలిగిన మహర్షి. ఆయనను అయోధ్యకు గౌరవపూర్వకంగా ఆహ్వానించేందుకు నేను ఏర్పాట్లు చేశాను. నా స్థానం రాజుది అయినప్పటికీ, జ్ఞానం ముందు అధికారాన్ని చూపడం కాదు—వినయం చూపడం అవసరమని నాకు తెలుసు.
ఆయన అయోధ్యకు వచ్చినప్పుడు నేను రాజుగా మాత్రమే కాక, ఒక ఆశతో ఎదురుచూస్తున్న తండ్రిగా స్వాగతించాను. నా సమస్యను స్పష్టంగా వివరించాను. నా వంశం కొనసాగాలని, రాజ్యానికి భవిష్యత్తు ఉండాలని కోరుకున్నాను.
ఒక విషయం నాకు స్పష్టమైంది: సమస్య ఎంత పెద్దదైనా, దానిని ఒంటరిగా పరిష్కరించాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు. మనకు తెలియని విషయంలో నిపుణుడిని సంప్రదించడం మన బలహీనత కాదు.
ఋష్యశృంగుని రాకతో అయోధ్యలో కొత్త ఆశ మొదలైంది. యజ్ఞానికి అవసరమైన ఏర్పాట్లు ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. ఎన్నేళ్లుగా నా మనసులో ఉన్న నిరాశ ఇప్పుడు కార్యాచరణగా మారుతోంది.
నిన్నటి వరకు నేను “నా సమస్యకు పరిష్కారం ఉంటుందా?” అని ఆలోచించాను. ఇప్పుడు “పరిష్కారం కోసం నేను చేయాల్సిన తదుపరి పని ఏమిటి?” అని ఆలోచించడం ప్రారంభించాను.

ఈ కథలోని ప్రధాన పాఠం సరైన సమస్యకు సరైన నిపుణుడిని ఎంచుకోవడం. ప్రతి సమస్యను మనమే పరిష్కరించగలమని భావించడం కొన్నిసార్లు అహంకారంగా మారుతుంది.
ఒక విద్యార్థికి ఒక సబ్జెక్ట్ అర్థం కాకపోతే ఎక్కువ గంటలు ఒంటరిగా కూర్చోవడం మాత్రమే పరిష్కారం కాదు; సరైన ఉపాధ్యాయుడిని అడగడం వేగంగా దారి చూపుతుంది. వ్యాపారంలో పన్ను సమస్యకు స్నేహితుల అభిప్రాయాల కంటే నిపుణుడైన Chartered Accountant సలహా అవసరం. ఆరోగ్య సమస్యలో ఇంటర్నెట్‌లో అనేక అభిప్రాయాల కంటే సరైన వైద్య నిపుణుడి నిర్ధారణ ముఖ్యమైనది. సంస్థలో సంక్లిష్ట సమస్య ఎదురైతే నాయకుడు అన్నీ తనకే తెలుసని నటించకుండా సరైన బృందాన్ని నిర్మించాలి.
దశరథుని నిర్ణయం మరో విషయాన్ని కూడా చెబుతుంది: సలహా పొందిన తరువాత చర్య తీసుకోవాలి. మంచి సలహా వినడం మాత్రమే సరిపోదు; దానిని అమలు చేసే ధైర్యం, వినయం అవసరం.

సమస్యను గుర్తించడం మొదటి అడుగు. సరైన వ్యక్తిని గుర్తించడం రెండవ అడుగు. అతని జ్ఞానాన్ని గౌరవించి చర్య తీసుకోవడం మూడవ అడుగు.
అన్నీ మనకే తెలుసని భావించడం నాయకత్వం కాదు; అవసరమైనప్పుడు సరైన జ్ఞానాన్ని వెతకడం నిజమైన నాయకత్వం.

My Decision to Invite Rishyasringa
I am Dasharatha, king of Ayodhya.
My lack of children was not only a personal sorrow; I also worried about who would lead Ayodhya after me. Once I shared this concern with my teachers and ministers, a possible path emerged.
Sage Vasistha and the wise men of my court advised that the presence of the revered sage Rishyasringa would be important for the sacred undertaking. I did not treat this as casual advice. I understood that a difficult problem often requires the guidance of the right person.
Rishyasringa was a respected sage associated with the kingdom of Anga. I made arrangements to invite him to Ayodhya with honour. Though I was a king, I knew that authority should not stand in the way of humility before knowledge.
When he came to Ayodhya, I welcomed him not merely as a ruler receiving a guest, but as a father carrying a long-held hope. I explained my concern clearly: I wished for the continuation of my lineage and a secure future for my kingdom.
I realised that no matter how serious a problem is, we do not always have to solve it alone. Seeking expertise in an area we do not understand is not a sign of weakness.
With Rishyasringa’s arrival, hope in Ayodhya turned into preparation. Until then I had been asking, “Is there a solution to my problem?” Now I began asking, “What is the next constructive action I can take?”
🌱 Human Development Perspective
The central lesson is matching the right expertise to the right problem. Assuming that we must solve everything ourselves can become a form of overconfidence.
A student struggling with a subject may progress faster by approaching the right teacher. A business facing a tax issue needs qualified professional advice rather than casual opinions. A health concern calls for an appropriate medical professional. In an organisation, a capable leader does not pretend to know everything; the leader builds the right team.
Dasharatha’s decision also teaches that advice must be followed by action. Listening to good counsel is useful only when we have the humility and courage to act on it.
🌱 Life Lesson
Recognise the problem. Find the right source of knowledge. Respect expertise. Then act.
Leadership is not knowing everything yourself; it is knowing when and where to seek the knowledge you need.
